The Wolfson Children’s Challenge celebrates our patients’ lives while benefiting the region’s only children’s hospital. Please help us make this experience fun and inspiring by telling us what you like, don’t like or how to improve.
Volunteering at the Wolfson Children's Challenge is a great way to get involved, and, frankly, we can't do it without you.
You can reach us via the form above.
Due to the nature of the event, we aim to staff volunteers in groups with one main point of contact for each group. There are many shifts and duties to fill, and we depend on groups of families, friends, coworkers, neighbors to join together to lend a hand.
You will receive an email with specific instructions and information regarding the volunteer opportunity. A confirmation email will be sent approximately one week prior to event with more information (i.e. parking, check-in time, etc.)
Once you sign up, we count on you for the full shift. We cannot replace you if you leave early. Sometimes the shift may seem over-staffed and slow, but often we are preparing for a rush or working around parking. We count on each volunteer for help during the shift. Also, splitting your shift with a friend by switching midway through is difficult for the majority of our volunteer duties so it is crucial that volunteers remain for the full length of the shift.
An e-mail will be sent approximately one week prior to the event with more information.
All volunteers will receive directions for free parking.
A snack bag will be provided with your volunteer packet.
Wear comfortable shoes and clothing, and you may want to dress in layers for changing temperatures. You will receive a volunteer t-shirt that identifies you as a part of the official race crew.
Bring as little as possible. There is no storage, so you will have to carry your items. Almost all areas will have a corner where everyone can put their jacket or snacks, but it will not be secure.
